What is Vanessa Bryant’s net worth?

VANESSA Bryant has been in the public eye since the tragic death of her husband Kobe and daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash in January 2020.

On August 24, 2022, a federal jury awarded the widow $16million after a civil trial regarding gruesome photos taken and shared from the scene that left members of her family dead.

What is Vanessa Bryant’s net worth?

Vanessa Bryant is worth an estimated $600million, according to The Cold Wire.

The sum is the same estimated net worth of her late husband, Kobe Byrant, at the time of his death.

However, her fortune is bound to increase after the result of her civil trial.

The 40-year-old had traded off her career as a dancer and model to build a life with the then NBA star, whom she married in 2001.

When tying he knot, the couple opted against a pre-nup – much to the disapproval of Kobe’s parents.

What was Kobe Bryant’s fortune?

Kobe’s huge fortune was amassed primarily through his NBA career, having spent a mammoth 20 years in the professional game.

He also had a number of business ventures and sponsorship deals with brands such as Nike, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz and Hublot.

After retiring, he turned the millions he made during his years with the Los Angeles Lakers into over a billion dollars.

He did this through endorsement deals, branching out with a variety of media projects and above all else by founding a venture capital firm that – at one stage – had assets of over $2 billion.

Kobe passed away as one of just seven athletes to be worth a billion dollars.

Who inherited Kobe Bryant’s fortune?

His entire fortune was reportedly inherited by his wife Vanessa and their three surviving children.

But it soon left its mark as Vanessa became intertwined in a legal battle with her mother over issues of finance.

Laine reportedly sued her daughter in December 2020 for a reported $5million, alleging that she worked as an unpaid “longtime personal assistant and nanny” to Vanessa and her daughter for years.

Laine accused Vanessa of telling her to “get out” of the house months after Kobe’s death in January 2020.

In September 2020, Laine also claimed that her daughter ordered her to give a vehicle back.

“She told me, ‘I need you to get out of this house,’” Laine said on Univision’s ‘El Gorda y La Flaca’ show in September.

“She also told me that she wanted her car, and she wants it now.”

The suit ended on August 6, 2021, when the LA Times reported that Vanessa had settled a lawsuit filed against her by her mother.

According to the outlet, Laine filed a notice of unconditional settlement on August 4 in Orange County Superior Court, indicating that a request for dismissal would be filed within 45 days.

However, the terms of the settlement were not released.
